Rucha, don't know what to write here. Feeling very heavy at heart and frustrated..Hope GOD is listening to all our prayers..GDO, please save the little girl and give her parents some reward for the hardships they had been thru' so far..I am not able to understand the equations of life at all. GOD, you helped Nirali to overcome the bigger obstacles like leukemia and bone marrow transfer..Please don't let her down now after all the sufferings she had gone thru..Please show a miracle and bring her back to full life..Please,please GOD!!

Thinking about Nirali. keep checking the update section to read about any improvements. We are in this Battle with Nirali. We feel your pain. You guys are not alone. I didnot quite understand what is wrong with things now, but it does suggest that something is not gng really the way we wish.

My elder son went liver transplant a long time back and after the transplant he had the same problems and we nearly gave up hope the same same problem and lastly everything was fine. My sincere request to the parents that please donot give up hope it reflects in the Nirali's mind but pray and give her the encouagement to fight back whisper in her ear , when someone is on ventilator he or she can hear.

I want to echo Divya's sentiments: feeling so restless and helpless. I cannot imagine what you must be going through. What are the doctors saying? What do they expect? What is their strategy? This seems to be going on for a long time now...there has to be some prognosis, and some strategy of how they are going to fix this problem. I do not even understand what problem this is - is it still the lung leaking problem? Nirali will surely get out of this situation in a week or 10 days. Till help, be strong! Hugs and prayers.

What a tough ride! I hope and pray that the situation stabilizes very soon, and there is a clear path to recovery, instead of this roller coaster situation. Are her lungs still under a lot of stress? I am hoping she would be off sedation by today, but looks like it will be couple more days.

Hope she is keeping her vitals good, and all the other numbers are looking good. Tht is what is imp as of now I guess.

:( @ circuit clotting again. wht causes the clots like this? Hope this doesnt' repeat again. I am myself feeling uncomfortable at the thought of so many pokes & trials.

Hang in there Rucha. Once Nirali wakes up and gives you that good morn' smile, that warm hug again, it will be a dose of heaven for you.....and tht isn't really far :) Health is not too far either, we are just taking one step at a time.

I am thinking, how strong is this little girl, who is refusing to stay on the oscillator for longer times, and is trying to wake up and breathe on her own :) There might be another logical medical reason why she is waking up, aah, but who cares :D To me she is stronger than sedation medicines or oscillators, which are failing to keep her sleeping.

When can she come off the oscillator?? As soon as they know that the lungs are not leaking any air, and breathing fine??

Will be waiting to know that she is conscious again, and is playing around.

Btw, will she be allowed to eat or drink right out of her sedation?

Hey, lets be happy that it is all Donor chimerism at day 100. How many other cases have we seen where its a relapse. Lets keep praying that the donor cells that are all into her now, pull her out totally into the healthy side, healing all these tiny glitches aswell.

All these that we are seeing might just be some tiny side effects Rucha. The first big thing that mattered, transplant part, went well, and she is spot right on it. Her body might just be taking a while to cope up from all the process she went thru this past year.

Lets hope for the best, keep the positive thoughts, be optimistic at all times, and hold on to God.

Take care Rucha. Our luv to little angel. She is taking a break from the stress, sleeping on the oscillator, becos we will not let her visit a Spa, thts how I am looking at it. In no time she will wake up and get back to her activities.

Wow !! U made my day Rucha :) U have no clue...how happy I am to see her pics. Tht smile...mmmm....such a heart touching smile...

I dont' know if u paid attention to it amidst all the in and out clinic stuff, but, Nirali looks a lot close to a normal healthy child now. All the other snaps before this, the induction, chemo, transplant phase pics had this different physical image of her, where we could see and tell this baby is fighting some illness.

But these pics on the other hand, her skin is glowing and looks normal, water retention has gone down so much, and that healthy pure smile, such a huuuge change form her other snaps.

I am sooo sure, things are working their way up in her body towards normalcy. Might just be minor glitches that we are all seeing now, compared to tht phase we were waiting on transplant, praying for cells to grow and all that.

U r a beautiful baby, such a delightful soul, Nirali. Luv u heaps. U get well soon, and I will make sure we have a fun weekend out together, whereever u choose. So many of us are waiting to meet you.

I don't know what to write. It seems complications are unfolding like leaves of onions. But the good thing is at least now we know the cause for the lung distress and that should help doctors to come out with a plan. Is Nirali feeling any pain or is the sedation taking care of her pain / discomfort. I am glad to know that CMV count has gone down to negative -- hopefully it will nto come back. Reading to Nirali through her sedation is a brilliant idea. Please continue to do so and keep on telling her that she is loved and cherished by so many of us. We are praying very hard and waiting to see her bubbly self . She is a very precious angel who have touched all our hearts. Mom, Dad, grandparents & family -- you are going through a very rough phase but if it helps, we are continuosly thinking and praying for you. All this positive energy and will power cannot go in vain.

The update has a very down tone....Rucha...I hope u r not feeling too low about all this. Pls keep the positive energy flowing, and hold on to the faith. I know its easier said than lived, but yet, we are all praying for you and your family, and we have faith that all will be well in good time. We can have blessings in disguise too, so, never feel down about things.

Unhappy with the update ofcourse, but lot more neads to be known on what is the cause of infection and so on. CMV is negative, thats good news, and hope it never comes back.

Its such a sweet gesture, reading her thru her sedation. I am more than sure she can hear ur reading and feel ur love. Keep reading, and tell her we all love her loads too....and are waiting to see, hug & kiss her. Tell her she is a very brave girl, and that she will make her own destiny one day, something we all will be very very proud of.

Our Nirali is blessed with a healthy long life Rucha :) All this will pass, and you will see her playing tea parties with other girls in no time.

No CMV - good news! Yes, it is a delicate balance, but atleast for now cmv is in check. Since we've found the cause for lung distress, and there is a treatment for it, I guess that is good news as well? What is the down side of oscillator (sp?) - does Nirali have to be sedated to have that on? Is Nirali in any kind of pain or discomfort that she is aware of? Since the kidneys are on dialysis that should take care of the loads on kidneys as well, right? So, what makes it critical? What are the doctors saying about prognosis - how long before normalcy? Lots of questions, I know! Take care mom, dad and Nirali!

Rucha, when you say that Nirali's condition is still critical overall -- is it because of the breathing difficulties or the kidney problem? I see from your updates that she is doing better with her breathing .. weaning off gently from the oscillator. I am sure the dialysis is goign to help with her kidney issues. Such a relief that she is off the oscillator. Is she still sedated??

Hoping dialysis will help her kidneys, and only make her recover better and soon.

It does bother a little that she will be off antibiotics, specially since we found some inflamation in the lungs which needs to be addressed. When will a next check be on this??

How nice that you have so many of ur family here to help. I always feel, that we here are super comfortable and happy only till all is well with us, once something goes wrong, staying far off from home (India) is the most miserable thing we can ever feel.

Keep the positive thoughts flowing Rucha :) All will be well, has to be well...we will give no other choice to God.

I have been reading updates and praying for her recovery. I talked to Rucha once when I did drive at Manav Sev mandir. We have go through some of the things you are facing. My son had AML and we went through five rounds of chemo. I remember the day when they took him off the morphin he was so sick and we were so scared. Please hang in there and have to go through all these sufferings. Only few people can understand what you both are going through.

One thing my wife did when Krupal was in ICU is to give up one favorite item of food every day. I did mala everynight. We have Catholic Church built in 1865 and nuns pray there for 24 hours. I will aks them pray for Nirali.

If I can do anything, please let me know. I am in Springifeld, Illinois. Please feel free to ask. I am retired and I have time.

I know that Josh and Nirali are little fighters and I feel that we all need to draw from the fight that they have in them and fight just as hard. Unhappy with the update. Praying this is just temporary, and not actually Pneumonia. How many days does she have to go without fluids and food?? It is soo hard to divert their mind off food and water :(

How did the day go for our little Angel? I checked the PBMT website yesterday and saw the profiels of all those wonderful doctora , nurses and staff who make 5200 such a home away from home. The tour gave me a peek into the rooms where patients stay and when I saw the doors, I was thinking of the stickers that adorn them !! Nirali, you are in expert hands -- you will surely come out of this ordeal soon. Hope Mummy is doign better. Hope Ally's parents have the support of friends and family around in this time of grief. My prayers for everyone at 5200.

Why does every damn medication have so many side effects?? Just hate tht fact, always...

Nirali baby just keep fighting the odds taking all our strength and prayers. The day is not too far when you would be all up and running the grass lawn parks...

About Aditya, I was reading his website yday, and I must admit, its soo hard to even read stuff like this, forget abt imagining the struggle from ur shoes. Something within me, as a mom, changed so much, and everytime I go thru updates of Nirali getting some hurdle, I go thru emotional waves, very unexplainable.

U r such an example of strength to many of us here Rucha. Soo proud of you *Hugs* - specially looking at you as a mom, thru another mom's eyes.

How relieving @ Nirali back in 5200. Hope post sedation discomfort goes off quickly and Nirali adjusts to her normal schedules.

Pray tht we get negative CMV tomorrow.
